At CLS Law, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you interact with us-whether through our website, advertising campaigns, by phone, or in person.

1. Information We Collect

• Personal Identifiers: name, email, phone, mailing address, and similar contact details.
• Case-Related Information: details relevant to your legal matter that you provide to us.
• Financial Information: billing and payment details (only when necessary).
• Website & Communications Data: IP address, device/browser type, pages visited, ad interactions, call recordings, and email correspondence.
• Demographic / Inference Data: general categories from analytics platforms such as location or device type.

2. How We Collect Information

• Directly from You: when you complete forms, request consultations, or engage our services.
• Automatically: through cookies, pixels, and analytics tools when you interact with our website or ads.
• From Third Parties: public records, courts, service providers, or advertising platforms used for measurement.

4. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, tags and local storage) on our website. They fall into three groups:

• Strictly necessary: needed for the site to work and to remember your choices (for example, security, language and your cookie preferences). These cannot be turned off.
• Analytics: Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the site. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_*. Learn more: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Opt out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
• Advertising: the Google Ads tag and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel help us measure whether our advertising works. They set the cookies _gcl_au, _fbp and _fbc, and may send information such as your IP address, device and browser details, pages viewed, and form submissions to Google and Meta. Those companies may use this information for their own purposes in line with their own privacy policies. Manage ad preferences: adssettings.google.com and facebook.com/adpreferences.

You choose which optional categories to allow through the cookie banner when you first visit, and you can change your choice at any time using Cookie Settings at the bottom of every page. Advertising cookies stay off for all visitors until you accept them. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies also stay off until you accept them. Elsewhere, analytics cookies are on until you opt out.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information only as necessary with:

• Service Providers: IT, billing, communications, and marketing vendors under confidentiality agreements.
• Courts and Opposing Parties: when required for representation.
• Regulatory Authorities: when legally required.
• Professional Advisors: such as accountants, consultants, or other attorneys assisting your matter.

6. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to reduce risks of unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

7. Your Choices

• Marketing Emails: opt out using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us. Processing may take up to 10 business days.
• Text Messages: reply STOP to any SMS to opt out. Standard message/data rates may apply. You may also email us with your number to request removal.
• Cookies and advertising: use Cookie Settings at the bottom of any page to accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies. You can also use your browser settings, but some site features may not work if all cookies are blocked.
• Global Privacy Control (GPC): when your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for advertising, and we keep advertising cookies off for that browser unless you later choose to accept them through Cookie Settings.
• Do Not Track: the older “Do Not Track” browser setting has no agreed standard, so our site does not respond to it. We do honor GPC as described above.
• Updating Information: contact us to correct or update your personal details.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors without proper consent.

9. Retention of Information

We retain records for periods required by law and Florida Bar regulations. After the retention period, records are securely destroyed or anonymized.

10. State-Specific Privacy Rights

If you live in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have these rights, subject to legal exceptions (including our duties of confidentiality and attorney–client privilege):

• Right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose.
• Right to access and receive a portable copy of your information.
• Right to correct inaccurate information.
• Right to delete personal information.
• Right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (see below).
• Right not to be treated unfairly for exercising these rights.

Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies and pixels are off by default and only run if you accept them. When they run, our advertising partners (Google and Meta) receive online identifiers and activity data, which may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws. To opt out, select “Do not sell or share my information” in the cookie banner, switch off Advertising in Cookie Settings, or use a browser with Global Privacy Control turned on. Opting out applies to the browser and device you use.

Sensitive information. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, except as needed to provide legal services you request. Do not include sensitive details about your legal matter in website forms until you are our client.

How to make a request. Email attorneys@clsmiamilaw.com or call (305) 239-0236. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within 45 days (we may extend once by 45 more days if we tell you why). You may use an authorized agent. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and you may contact your state attorney general.

11. Law Firm–Specific Protections

• Attorney–Client Privilege: Nothing in this policy limits our duty to protect privileged or confidential client information. Privileged information will not be disclosed except as required or permitted by law.
• No Automatic Relationship: Submitting information through our website, ads, or forms does not create an attorney–client relationship. A written engagement agreement is required to establish representation.
• Payments: If you make payments online, they are processed securely by third-party providers. CLS Law does not store sensitive credit card details.

12. International Visitors

CLS Law is based in the United States. If you access our website from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
